+theLillySpeaks the same as you I have natural hair. I have my hair done like this every time I go to the beauty salon and it lasts at least for a week. after 7 days a make a ponytail but my hair is still stright so it doesnt get frizzy
I have natural hair, how long will this blow out last before my hair frizzes up?
Can show more info ?

Just to let everyone know this is soooo unhealthy for your hair on so many levels. I am not trying to knock this salon at all but I am trying to promote healthy hair amongst black people. Look at the hair in The comb. Look at how she's pulling hair out by combing it like that causing breakage and dance to the ends which will not promote growth at all. I'm just saying.
Keyona Butler I was thinking the same thing umm you comb from the ends up to detangle the hair not pull it out look at all her hair in that comb🙈
If you notice Dominicans are black people idiots -_- you sound like white people Discrimi nating
This is awesome... Where do you find these rollers? Lol
But all black ladies let the Dominican's do it for them now, oh yes. I would agree with DominicanQueen21. No black hairdresser has ever blown out my hair successfully and always ends up having to use a flat iron.
did she use a setting lotion or a leave in the hair seems so smooth.
the very last part is where I always mess up but the video cut off right when she is about to do it. this was very informative, but i already knew how to do the other parts except for the part that got cut off. help! :(
Some of these comments crack me up. I'm AA and 51 yo we always rollerset our hair back in the 70s and 80s only problem was mostly permed. Now I go to dominican salon and get my natural hair rollerset and straighten with the brush and blow drier. Gives the hair more movement and body.
@mahalbelle I'm Dominican and you roll your hair when its wet because its easier to get ahold of the hair to stick to the roller.
@cleopatrajones90 gurl yeah, im pretty sure you can (save a lot of money, lol)
so whats so spcial about dominican salons? cant i do it at home?
dont know what the big fuss i grew up in the islands and everyone did set there hair back then and take care of there own hair instead of using fake hair all the time.
They always make your hair look nice I just don't like how they comb through your hair.
Dominican hair salons have totally over taken the hairdressing buisness!! I NEVER used to go to the hairdresser because they took too damn long, talked too damn much and ordered food all the damn time. There's no way you can justify sitting in a salon for 4 or 5 hours (on a week day) So now with the Dominican's I get in and get out and my hair is always the bomb. They have great attitudes I think and are very nice. They honor their profession and that's why they rule right now!!
@DominicanQueen21 I agree :)
@AshleyLaShun2 Practice and your sets will get better.
UFff unos rolos bien hechos :)
is her hair damp? because i want to try this myself and want help on how she started from the beginning??
of course it looks easy...theres another person doing it for her! if you do it yourself, then thats a whole nother story. i'd prob take an hour doing this to myself, lol.
is her hair relaxed??
@starangel031785 BC Dominicans come from Africa! They got hair like us!
wow it look so pretty i wish i knew how to do a blow out like that cause it would be a perfect way i can clip my ends cause my hair is natural...
this salon did a really good job on her hair. i really like it!
beautifully done
amazing!!!
Im live in colorado and there are no Dominican Salon here. So everytime Im in NYC the first thing I do is hit Harlem to get my blow. I pretty much have the technique down to do at home now but i am really in need of the HIGH HEAT BLOW DRYER! What is the best Brand to use to get the best results???? THANKS!!!!
When My hair grows in I want this. What type of dryer is that?
what did the stylist put in her hair before she detangled it and wrapped it on the roller? I've been hearing a lot lately about how dominican salons will mix relaxer in their conditioner to make their clients' hair easier to manage. I know her hair texture looks similar to mine and my hair NEVER lays down as easily as it did in the video.
@TheMiraDemure That is one of the most ignorant statement. Yes she is black, so it would obvious that here would be of some kind of texture. People that are descents of Africa don't just come out some cookie cutter that just have one texture of hair, African's have all different type of textures and OMG even straight.
wow!
@AshleyLaShun2 I totally agree. I struggle with rods sets. which I love but it is difficult for me to do.
wow thats not fair when i went they told me my hair was to curly to roller set. they had to blow mine out ....ur hair is way straighter than mine ..but i paid 30 dollars for a blow out but it came out HOT.. and so they know what they r doing 4 real
wow very pretty. if i did not have locks, i would definitely go to a dominican hair salon.
@starangel031785 some of them have hair like us.
Amazing! How long to dominican blowout's last on hair? a month?
Amazing!
@zaia3957 because dominican people do it to your hair... it's their technique
@shanez89 around my way they do
@starangel031785 OUR HAIR IS VERY MUCH LIKE THE BLACK HAIR..ONLY SOMETIMES DO YOU SEE DOMINICANS WITH VERY STRAIGHT HAIR. THIS IS SOMETHING OIR PARENTS DO JUST AS YOU HAVE USED PRESSING COMBS. HOPE THAT HELPS.
I think it is B/c we have always been condition since youth to put a perm in our hair so we always thought that was the solution...Im natural and I love being natural. But you have to learn your own hair & what it likes. And that do take time & some pp dont like to take the time. They want a Quick fix which is: A perm.
SASSY SWAG SILK DOOBIE WRAPS PLS WATCH
i need to find a dominican salon in la. such good work! what kind of blowdryer is this?
Did they charge you extra because your natural?
